How to make Yerba Mate at home

What is Yerba Mate?
Known increasingly for being great for Weight loss!
It is actually a refreshing drink that Paraguayan people sip to keep cool. It is enjoyed in many other countries, but Paraguay passionately assert it started with their Guarini tribes. It consists of a blend of finely chopped and dried herbs and spices that you place in a cup and add ice cold water to. It is drank through a filtered straw; locals tend to use specialist metal or wooden straws. It contains caffeine and often it has a dominant menthol flavour, but this does depend on the blend.

Hey Gianni, It is pretty awesome stuff, we had it a lot in Paraguay, but i have to admit the link to the one on amazon was just the best one we could find in the UK based on all the reviews since we got back. – If it’s your first time, do know it can be an enquired taste, but once you’re into it, its hard to put down!

Thank you for sharing your experiences, many tea drinkers will love the ritual and the wonderful clean energy that yerba mate has. We call it terere and many people are unaware that yerba mate infuses cold, so it is a refreshing alternative in the summer.
